The Space Race: Space X vs Blue Origin

|

The development and exploration of the space field is what everyone is currently curious about.  Whether it is international or corporate competition, everyone wants to be the leader in outer space.  The two richest men in the world, Bezos and Musk, respectively invested in the space industry, trying to open up a new future for all mankind.  Elon Musk's SpaceX and Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin, they all want to prove to everyone that even as small individuals, as long as they extraordinary abilities, they can still chase the big dream of space!

Their innovative corporate business activities have also attracted the attention of the international military, using commercial space to establish partnerships, create a new balance of power, go to subordinates and deal with the enemy.  By reducing the size of the satellite and making the rocket launcher reusable, the satellite technology is become more economical.

To Compare Blue Origin Kuiper and SpaceX Startlink, the space race between the two, to provide Internet services to remote areas of the earth through a space network composed of satellites.

Project Kuiper

Amazon.com, currently led by Bezos, has its "Project Kuiper" still in the development stage, but it has successfully designed a new customized antenna that is three times smaller than a normal satellite antenna. Amazon believes that it is even smaller.  Antennas represent lower prices and easier installation, which will help users in remote areas to enjoy 400 Mbps high-speed internet through the 3,236 low-Earth orbit satellites of the "Kuiper Project" in the near future.

  1. Expected to launch 3,000 satellites
  2. Satellites have not been launched
  3. No service has been provided yet
  4. Partially discarded, partly recyclable rockets, high cost

Unique technology:

  1. Low-cost communication antenna
  2. BE-4 Engine

Startlink

Starlink satellite network under the leadership of Musk, although still in the acceptance test stage, but it has more than 10,000 users.  I In addition to the original United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, pre-orders in New Zealand, Australia, and Mexico will also be opened, allowing users who are in remote areas and do not have Internet access to enjoy high-speed Internet.  It also allows the general public to enjoy more real-time video and online games through the feature of "Starlink" in low-Earth orbit, which can effectively shorten the signal delay.

  1. 12,000 satellites are expected to be launched
  2. 1,015 satellites have been launched
  3. The test network service has been launched in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom
  4. Obtained NASA contract
  5. Recyclable rocket, lower cost

Unique technology:

  1. Self-built rockets, capable of manufacturing, launching, recovering, and reusing rockets (recoverable rockets)
  2. Raptor engine

Technically, SpaceX has a self-designed recyclable rocket.  Its low-cost advantage will help to quickly deploy a communication satellite group.  It will also launch satellites regularly at a frequency of two and a half weeks to gradually expand Starlink satellite network services.  Temporarily take the lead in this space race. Although Blue Origin has not launched any satellite yet, as the plan continues to advance, the first test flight mission in the middle of the year, and the acquisition of OneWeb and Telesat two companies to carry satellite contracts and other advantages.  This space It is not yet known who will win the competition.  But no matter what the outcome of the competition is, or if more competitors join, all mankind will definitely benefit and become the biggest winner.  Space travel is no longer a dream, everyone has the opportunity to set foot in space.  "Build a road to outer space, so that our children and grandchildren can use this to build the future" so that future humans can use the resources and energy of outer space to create the future.
